Q :- You have been one of those highly respected lot of students who have been doing higher studies at San Jose State University? How does it feel to be at San Jose State University USA?
A :- It feels great and accomplished!!

Q :- Please tell us about which course is you doing and why did you choose that course?
A :- I am doing my Master’s in Software Engineering at San Jose State University. I chose that course because it is well aligned with my work experience of 3 years and has great prospects.

Q :- Why did you choose the USA for higher education?
A :- For computer science related technologies, USA and particularly Silicon Valley, where I currently stay, is considered to be the hub for latest technology and innovation.

Q :- How is San Jose State University different than any other USA University based on whatever you have heard from your friends about

Q :- Are you happy with your decision?
A :- Definitely!!

Q :- Where do you eat? Do you cook yourself?
A :- We prepare food in our room. Yes, I cook myself.

Q :- Where do you live? On-campus or off-campus and why?
A :- Off campus due to lower cost of living. But college is walking distance from here.

Q :- Please share some of your experiences of the USA for aspiring students
A :- USA is definitely a good place to do your Master’s. You get lots of global exposure here with different types of people.

Q :- What’s your advice to students who aspire to go to the USA for higher studies?
A :- Go ahead !! Prepare a plan what you want to do after completing Master’s and keep working on the plan till you achieve your goal !!

Q :- Other than academics, what else did you learn from the country USA ?
A :- Discipline, Structure, Automation.

Q :- How are the studies in the USA different than the studies in India ?
A :- Studies are more practical oriented in USA and has more opportunity for industrial interactions.

Q :- Is it worth spending so much money to get a degree from the USA as compared to similar degree in India with lower costs?
A :- It’s worth, if you have a proper goal in your mind.

Q :- What’s your advice to parents of aspiring students?
A :- Definitely consider sending your ward for higher studies.

Q :- Key things to remember for parents and students while planning for the studies in the USA
A :- For Parents :-
1] You will have to help with financial planning.
2] Your ward will be away for a year or two, so mental preparation needed.
For Students :-
1] You have to study, do daily chores yourself.
2] Manage time effectively and enjoy your MS life.
3] You need to be mentally prepared to stay away from home and to focus on studies.

Q :- What are you future plans?
A :- After completing MS, I will work for a company for couple of years. After enough experience is gained, I will be starting software company of my own.

Q :- How did you fund your higher education?
